Wir gehen ins Café al Bacio. Unterwegs gucken wir uns immer wieder Kunstgegenstände an, die hier ausgestellt sind. Die Dekoration innerhalb des Schiffes ist wirklich Premium.



We went to Café al Bacio. On the way we checked all the art objects they had here onboard. The decoration of the ship is really premium.

During the daytime you had barely a chance to find any vacant seats... but like now at 05.00 hrs in the morning everything was closed.



Normalerweise findet man tagsüber so gut wie selten Plätze... oder wie jetzt um 05.00 Uhr morgens, wenn noch alles zu ist.

Musik wird leider hier viel zu selten gespielt. Schade.



They did not play too often live music here. So sad.

Well... sad that they never cared of the furnitures when they are in dry to refurbish the ship.



Naja... schade, dass man eigentlich nie die Möbel mal aufarbeitet, wenn man im Trockendock ist.

Auch das Tischbein.. Schmirgelpapier und Lack und so sähe er wieder sehr schön aus.



Also the table leg... some grinding paper and some paint and it looked again nice.

You sit very low because they did not spend any money in upholstering.



Man sitzt allerdings sehr tief, weil man auch nichts mehr in die Polsterung reinsteckt.

Von hier oben kann man schön auf die Promenade runtergucken.



From here you could easily see to the promenade.

My iced tea arrived.



Da kommt mein Eistee.

Ich gebe zu: seit dem ich den ersten Eistee dieser Art auf der CELEBRITY EQUINOX getrunken habe, leiden alle anderen Gesellschaften, wenn ich mir es genauso dann bei denen bestelle...



I have to say that now all other lines are suffering when I order my iced tea the same way since I experienced my very first iced tea like this on CELEBRITY EQUINOX.

You brew the tea hot and fresh.



Der frische Tee wird heiß aufgebrüht.

Und kommt dann in die Kanne voll Eis. Nach dem er hier abgekühlt ist, geht es dann in das Glas voll Eiswürfel. So toll schmeckt kein anderer Eistee, wie hier im Café al Bacio.



And then you pour it into the pot of ice cubes. After it is cool you pour it into your glass full of ice cubes. No ice tea is better but here in Café al Bacio.

And Bruno got his Cappucino with an Apple Decoration. How would they decorate if they see Bruno usining Samsung or HTC or Blackberry?



Und Bruno bekommt seine Tasse Cappucino mit einem Apfel dekoriert. Wie hätten sie das dekoriert, wenn sie gesehen hätte, dass Bruno ein Samsung, HTC oder Blackberry nutzt?

Es geht zum Mittagessen. Weil keine Tische mehr frei sind, werden alle wartenden Gäste auf Deck 4 geführt. Ein paar Kellner usw. wandern direkt mit. Ich bin verwundert, woher sie die jetzt her haben. Ist der Service auf Deck 5 eingestellt worden?



We went for lunch. Because there was no more table available all guests who were waiting were escorted to deck 4. Some waiters went with us. I was surprised because I was wondering where they were from. Was the service on deck 5 suspended?

Good were the information on the menu to identify gluten free, vegetarian, no sugar added or lactose free.



Gut fand ich die Hinweise auf der Speisekarte für glutenfrei, vegetarisch, ohne Zuckerzusatz und lactosefrei.

Die Auswahl klang gut. Allerdings musste man immer das Dessert direkt mit bestellen. Wir durften uns nicht später entscheiden, wenn wir nach dem Hauptgang erst wissen, ob wir noch Lust haben. Ist das hier Celebrity oder easyCruise?



The selection sound great. But you had to order the desserts together. You cannot do it later when you know after the entree if you still want some. Are we here on Celebrity or easyCruise?

Finally we had some bread which I liked and I asked immediately for the name. I was told "Multi-Grain". I do not discuss and I will ask for some Multi-Grain-Bread the next morning.



Endlich gibt es ein Brot, das ich mag und ich frage direkt nach, wie es heiß. Mir wird gesagt "Multi-Grain" (Mehrkorn). Ich diskutiere das nicht aus und werde morgen früh um Multi-Grain-Brot bitten.

Getränke aus dem Premium-Getränkepaket kommen aus der Dose.

As ususal with Celebrity: your salad arrives without dressing.



Wie üblich bei Celebrity: erst kommt der Salat ohne Dressing.

Und erst am Tisch wird man gefragt, welchen Dressing man möchte. In der Regel gibt es jedoch andere, als auf der Karte angegeben. Und wenn man besondere will, sollte man dem Kellner vorher sagen, dass man beispielsweise fettarmen Salatdressing will. Der ist nämlich nie auf dem Tablett dabei.



And once you had it at your table you was asked for your choice of dressing. Normally you do not get the same like mentioned in the menu. And if you need somehing special like the fat-free you should let your waiter know it before. This one was never on the tray.

Bruno took a burger. The sesame roll was really tasty.



Bruno nahm sich einen Burger. Das Sesambrötchen war ja richtig lecker...

Und ich die Entenbrustscheiben in Terriyaki-Sauce. Wie üblich etwas zu sehr für den amerikanischen Geschmack gemacht. Auf Nachtisch verzichten wir, weil heute ja der erste formelle Abend ist und es hoffentlich etwas tolles gibt.



And I got the slices of duck breast in terranyaki-sauce. As usual made for the American flavour. We did not take any dessert because this night was the first formal night and we hoped to get something great then.

So far the options in Oceanview Café. My parents went immediately to the noodle soup bar. Unfortunately you do not have it every day and the broth was quite fat my mother said. And for the kids it was easier to see the self-service restaurant as they only need to point with their fingers what they want and they were ready.



Derweil war das das Angebot im Oceanview Café. Meine Eltern haben sich natürlich sofort auf den Nudelsuppenstand gestürzt. Leider gibt es ihn nicht jeden Tag und leider war die Brühe ziemlich fettig, meinte meine Mutter. Und für die Kinder war es einfacher hier im SB-Restaurant: sie zeigen nur auf das, was sie wollen und schon ist die Sache erledigt.
