Seetag/Day at Sea 7 auf der/on CELEBRITY REFLECTION

Die IT Infrastruktur an Bord ist nervig. Man hätte wohl sich mit einem anderen Gerät anmelden können, aber da funktioniert tatsächlich der Upload der Bilder auf Facebook vom Desktop nichts. Also muss ich alle Bilder auf mein iPhone überspielen und kann immer 80 Bilder in einer Sitzung überspielen. Das aber klappt ganz gut. Ich sehe mich mal nach einem neuen iPad um, aber das gibt es an Bord gar nicht: nur ältere Generationen, die es an Land in Deutschland noch günstiger gäbe. Die Kabel finde ich interessant, aber was ist eigentlich mit der Gewährleistung, wenn man nicht mehr an Bord ist? Ich lasse es lieber.



The IT infrastructure on board is annoying. You could probably have logged in with another device, but uploading the pictures to Facebook from the desktop doesn't work. So I have to transfer all the images to my iPhone, and I can always share 80 photos in one session. But that works quite well. I'm looking for a new iPad, but there isn't one on board: only older generations, which are even cheaper on land in Germany. I find the cables interesting, but what about the warranty if you're no longer on board? I prefer not to.









We look around the SpaCafé: but the offer is too healthy for me. Bruno takes the chance to treat himself to a fresh smoothie. Since we only have the Classic Beverage, we must pay for it ourselves. That looks too healthy to me, though: he's welcome to drink alone. They could give me another 10 USD: I wouldn't drink that.



Wir gucken uns im SpaCafé um: aber das Angebot ist mir zu gesund. Bruno nutzt die Chance um sich einen frischen Smoothie zu gönnen. Da wir nur das Classic Beverage haben, müssen wir es selbst zahlen. Das sieht mir jedoch zu gesund aus: er darf gerne alleine trinken. Da könnten die mir noch 10 USD hinlegen: ich würde das nicht trinken.

Das habe an der VALIANT LADY 2022 sehr geschätzt: man brauchte keine Schilder wie diese: An Bord waren gar keine Kinder zugelassen. In diesem Bereich ist es immer ruhig und es findet sich immer ein Plätzchen.

Damit wir gleich unten im Restaurant das richtige Brot anfordern können, gucken wir uns zunächst um, was es heute an Brotsorten gibt. Wir könnten ja auch im Oceanview Café frühstücken, aber dafür mögen wir viel zu sehr das Team unten im Opus Hauptrestaurant.

Es ist so heiß draußen, dass ich morgens bereits meine Abkühlung brauche. Bruno war wohl beim Friseur. Und später gibt es auch hier die selbstgebrühten Eistees. Nur später gibt es etwas Unerfreuliches oben. Lt. Karte gibt es hier VitaminWater Triple-C mit Drachenfruchtaroma. Also etwas Drachenfrucht gibt es doch an Bord. Aber sie bringen mir eine andere Sorte, die ich nicht mag und ich bitte darum, die Transaktion zu stornieren. Es kommen dann drei Leute vorbei, die nachfragen, warum ich nicht einfach das nehmen kann. Warum ist es nicht möglich eine Transaktion einfach zu stornieren? Das ist allerdings so ziemlich das Negativste, was an Bord passiert ist und Erwähnung findet. Also meckern auf sehr hohem Niveau. Insgesamt muss man aber schon jetzt sagen: eine der besten Kreuzfahrten, die wir erlebt haben. Und das drei Tage vor dem Ende!!!

And that three days before the end!!!

I admit: I was reluctant to sail here, and my expectations were meager. So far, I've been pleasantly surprised. On board, they noticed that I probably travel on cruise ships, just not with Celebrity. They also noticed that I also treated the crew with respect. So Bruno and I were invited to the bridge. The first time was on MSC MUSICA 2007. Then we were on NORWEGIAN JADE 2011 (1) with Captain Kim and a few other voyages under his command. Also unforgettable on NORWEGIAN SKY 2015 and NORWEGIAN SUN 2019. And now we get an invitation for MY CELEBRITY REFLECTION. I'm pleased about the gesture: I've already paid a deposit: I'll be back. Ich gebe zu: ich bin eigentlich mit Widerwillen hier mitgefahren und meine Erwartungen waren sehr niedrig. Bis lang bin ich doch sehr positiv überrascht. An Bord haben sie es mitbekommen, dass ich wohl sehr viel auf Kreuzfahrtschiffen unterwegs bin, nur eben nicht mit Celebrity. Sie haben auch mitbekommen, dass ich auch die Crew mit Wertschätzung behandele. So wurden Bruno und ich auf die Brücke eingeladen. Das erste Mal war es auf der MSC MUSICA 2007. Dann waren wir noch auf der NORWEGIAN JADE 2011 (1) bei Kapitän Kim und noch auf einigen weiteren Reisen, die unter seinem Kommando liefen. Auch unvergesslich auf der NORWEGIAN SKY 2015 sowie NORWEGIAN SUN 2019. Und jetzt bekommen wir eine Einladung für MEINE CELEBRITY REFLECTION. Über die Geste freue ich mich sehr: eine Anzahlung habe ich ja bereits geleistet: ich komme ja wieder. Zwischenzeitlich auch gefixt: CELEBRITY INFINITY 2024 nach Israel und Ägypten. Wir hätten ja lieber ein weiteres Zuzahlangebot genutzt, aber derzeit wird mittags mangels Auslasung nichts angeboten. Schade.

Ein kurzer Besuch in der Sky Lounge. Zumindest wenn es schlechtes Wetter geben sollte, kann man nach vorne gucken. Zur Hälfte! Auf den Toiletten gibt es Stoffhandtücher und kleine Rätsel, die man beim Pinkeln lösen kann.









Bruno nutzt das Fitnessstudio. Ich gucke mir nochmals den Kursplan an, aber nichts für mich dabei. Hier wäre es bestimmt schön gewesen, Yoga zu machen. Aber nicht vor dem Aufstehen!



Bruno uses the gym. I look at the course schedule again, but nothing for me. It would have been nice to do yoga here. But not before getting up!





Around this time, I get a hamburger or hot dog at the Mast Grill or pizza and tea time at the Oceanview Café. Tea time should not be offered as self-service... It was nice to celebrate tea time again on REGAL PRINCESS 2022.



Um diese Zeit bekomme ich entweder am Mast Grill einen Hamburger oder Hot Dog oder im Oceanview Café Pizza und Tea-Time. Tea-Time sollte nicht als SB angeboten werden... War schön zuletzt auf der REGAL PRINCESS 2022, wieder Tea-Time zu zelebrieren.

Wir werden nach unserer Meinung gefragt und ob uns jemand von der Crew positiv aufgefallen ist. Nun wir hätten jetzt viel zu tun. Es wäre einfacher, wenn sie danach gefragt hätten, wer negativ aufgefallen wäre. Da sind bisher nur zwei. Aber da ich ja nur Selfies mit Crewmitgliedern mache, die mir positiv auffallen und dann auch deren Namensschilder mit fotografiere, damit ich mir deren Namen merke, kann ich es leider nicht sagen, wie sie hießen.



We are asked for our opinion and if anyone from the crew made a positive impression on us. Well, we have a lot to do now. It would have been easier if they had asked who would have stood out negatively. There are only two so far. But since I only take selfies with crew members, I find positive and photograph their name tags so I can remember them; I can't say what their names were.

One reason that the team on board surpasses itself is probably Captain Nikolas. In every speech, he always includes his crew. Everything he wishes for the passengers, he also hopes for the staff. He also takes every chance to remind passengers of the team's fantastic job on board. You can feel that too. I thanked him for always thinking of the crew and being so present. We hadn't experienced that recently. I neither heard nor saw the captains on NORWEGIAN JADE 2021. I'm wearing my Hatecke hoodie. Unfortunately, no Hatecke lifeboats are used on board. But "Cruise is calling - and I am ready 24/7!" fits me. So I'm happy about another selfie with Captain Nikolas.



Ein Grund, dass das Team an Bord über sich hinauswächst, dürfte Kapitän Nikolas sein. In jeder Rede schließt er immer seine Crew mit ein. Alles, was er den Passagieren wünscht, wünscht er auch der Crew. Er nimmt auch jede Chance wahr, die Passagiere zu erinnern, was für eine fantastische Arbeit die Crew an Bord leistet. Das spürt man auch. Ich habe mich bei ihm bedankt, dass er immer an die Crew denkt und so präsent ist. Das hatten wir zuletzt nicht so erlebt. Den Kapiäten auf der NORWEGIAN JADE 2021 habe ich weder gehört noch gesehen. Ich habe mein Hatecke-Hoodie an. An Bord werden leider keine Hatecke-Rettungsboote verwendet. Aber "Cruise is calling - and I am ready 24/7!" passt zu mir. So freue ich mich über ein weiteres Selfie mit Kapitän Nikolas.

Heute gibt es wieder eine Hommage von Alfreda Gerard: eine Hommage an Tina Turner. Und das passende Lied, um den Kapitän zu ehren: "Simply the Best".

The chicken cream soup is to die for. Executive Sous Chef Grant walks from table to table, asking if everything is ok. I ask him to put two cups in the fridge: for my breakfast. It's so delicious that I'll do without congee. Bad luck, on the other hand: the taste of the red cabbage overpowers the taste of the duck. I prefer a meat skewer. It's delicious. Could I have that for breakfast too? I would have liked to say one more thing to him but forgot: why isn't there anything on the menu connected to the country, region, or city we are traveling to? What's missing here.



Die Hühnercremesuppe ist der Traum. Executive Sous Chef Grant läuft von Tisch zu Tisch und erkundigt sich, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Ich bitte ihn darum, dass er zwei Tassen in den Kühlschrank stellen möchte: für mein Frühstück. Die ist so lecker, dass ich auf Congee verzichten werde. Pech dagegen: der Geschmack des Rotkohls überlagert den Geschmack der Ente. Ich nehme lieber einen Fleischspieß. Der ist richtig gut. Ob ich den auch zum Frühstück haben könnte? Eine Sache hätte ich ihm gerne noch gesagt, aber vergessen: Warum gibt es eigentlich nichts auf der Karte, das einen Bezug zum Land, zur Region, zur Stadt hat, das wir gerade bereisen? Das fehlt hier irgendwie.
