Es kommt LE LYRIAL. Sie legt wohl bei Santa Marta an. San Basilio ist ja noch geschlossen oder nur für uns geschlossen?Es geht zum Frühstück. Nun bin ich aber doch enttäuscht. Ich hasse Frühstücksbüffets. Allerdings ist das kein Frühstücksbüffet wie bei COSTA FAVOLOSA 2017 oder MARCO POLO 2019. Damit könnte ich vielleicht leben. Kymberly merkt mir an, dass ich enttäuscht bin und bietet mir an, dass sie in der Galley nachfragt, ob ich etwas Congee haben kann, aber ich verzichte darauf. Ich bekomme ein frisches Omelette. Es erinnert hier doch mehr an unser Frühstücksbüffet im Hotel Danieli auf der Terrazza Danieli. Seit 02:00 Uhr nachts gibt es kein Kabinenservice mehr. Also auch kein Frühstück in der Kabine am Ausschiffungstag. Es gibt Wilkin & Sons-Marmelade, aber die preiswerte holländische Butter. Ich hätte die französische Butter von Presdient erwartet.
It was time for breakfast. But I was disappointed. I hated breakfast buffets. However, this was not a buffet breakfast as COSTA FAVOLOSA 2017 or MARCO POLO 2019. Maybe I could accept it. Kymberly noted that I was disappointed and offered to ask in the galley if I could have some congee, but I left it. I got freshly prepared omelet. It reminded us more of our breakfast buffet in the Hotel Danieli on the Terrazza Danieli. Since 02:00 hrs, there was no more cabin service available. So no breakfast in the cabin on the disembarkation day. They had Wilkin & Sons' marmalade, but the cheap Dutch butter. I would expect French President-Butter.It fit perfectly: I did not always have to get up at breakfast to take pictures. Luckily, HORIZON arrived after my breakfast.

Ich fühle mich sehr wohl, sogar sehr viel wohler als auf der EUROPA 2014, die von Douglas Ward sehr viel höher bewertet wird: 1.852/2.000 Punkte = 5*+, EUROPA 2: 1.864/2.000 Punkte = 5*+, AZAMARA PURSUIT: 1.483/2.000 Punkte = 4*. Das liegt sicherlich auch dem Publikum, dass ich hier als zugänglicher und freundlicher wahrnehme, als damals auf der EUROPA 2014. Es spielt eigentlich auch gar keine Rolle, wie gut es Douglas Ward gefallen hat - mir muss es gefallen - und mir gefällt MEINE AZAMARA PURSUIT sehr.

I double checked my pictures: Most recently, it was Captain Kim on NORWEGIAN JADE 2017, who flagged the ship the same way when it was the very first call in Hamburg, Germany. I felt very comfortable, even much better than on EUROPA 2014, which was better rated according to Douglas Ward: 1,852/2,000 Punkte = 5*+, EUROPA 2: 1,864/2,000 Punkte = 5*+, AZAMARA PURSUIT: 1,483/2,000 Punkte = 4*. That was certainly also the fellow-cruisers that I perceived here as more accessible and friendlier than on EUROPA 2014. It did not matter how Douglas Ward liked a ship - I must like it - and I liked MY AZAMARA PURSUIT very much.There were no time windows for disembarkation. We could leave the ship at any time. I ordered our taxi for 09:00 hrs, so it fit very well that we had to leave the ship until 09:15 hrs. There was no need to carry cash with us to buy another coffee like we had to do so on MARCO POLO 2019. The final bill was not delivered in paper-form, but only on request by e-mail. Spa credit was handled separately and not combinable with other expenses. On the promenade, Hotel Director Elisabeth, F&B Manager Mustafa, Cruise Director Tony and his assistant Lee were standing by to say goodbye to the guests. I could thank them for an excellent performance.

Unser Taxi habe ich für 09:00 Uhr bestellt, so passt es sehr gut, dass wir bis 09:15 Uhr das Schiff verlassen müssen. Wir müssen kein Bargeld mit uns mitführen, um noch einen Kaffee zu kaufen, wie auf der MARCO POLO 2019. Die Abrechnung kommt nicht als Papier, sondern nur auf Nachfrage per E-Mail. Spa-Guthaben wird getrennt verwaltet und nicht mit anderen Ausgaben verrechnet. Auf dem Promenaden-Deck stehen Hoteldirektor Elisabeth, F&B-Manager Mustafa, Kreuzfahrtdirektor Tony und sein Vertreter Lee bereit, um die Gäste zu verabschieden. Ich kann mich für eine tolle Leistung bedanken.Schade, dass wir keine Zeit mehr für Venedig haben. Ich bin bei der Buchung der Flüge davon ausgegangen, dass ich zu Hause jetzt noch Wäsche waschen müsste und noch abends nach Basel weiter müsste.

I would like to photograph the incoming ships and therefore wanted to keep control of our departure to the Marco Polo airport. Thus, the following solutions were no alternatives: airport transfer, including a visit to the City of Padova, Italy, a direct ship transfer to the airport, or by public transport. We really liked to take a water taxi, but it would take too long. Since we wanted to be at the airport by 09:30 hrs, but did not want to leave the ship before 09:00 hrs, only a direct taxi was the only option. I let someone double check in the Italian language with Radio Taxi Venezia. But pre-order was only possible for pick-up at Stazione Marittima, but not for San Basilio. For Stazione Marittima to the airport, there would be a flat rate: 45,00 EUR (2019). Sonnendeck Seereisen asked Royal Caribbean and got the recommendation for me: Venice Taxi Airport should be the partner of Azamara. Für Stazione Marittima zum Flughafen gibt es eine feste Rate: 45,00 EUR (2019). Sonnendeck Seereisen fragt bei Royal Caribbean an und bekommt für mich als Tipp heraus: Venice Taxi Airport ist der Partner von Azamara. Sie weisen jedoch extra darauf hin, dass sie eine Haftung ausschließen, dass alles klappt, wenn wir nicht über den Concierge an Bord buchen. Wir buchen dennoch direkt, weil ich auf kurzem Wege ggfls. die Abreise beeinflussen will. Für San Basilio gibt es einen Festpreis zum Flughafen von 55,00 EUR (2019). Nun laufen wir Stazione Marittima an. Aber ich belasse es bei der Buchung und ändere es nicht wegen 10,00 EUR (2019) Unterschied. Pfingstmontag ist in Italien kein Feiertag.Am Flughafen Marco Polo zeigt mir Bruno den Weg zu den Alilaguna Vaporetto. Ich darf die Schlange für die Business Class bei Lufthansa nutzen. Die 500,00 EUR für die Verlängerung des Frequent Traveller Status zahlen sich heute mal wieder aus. Zum Ankunft gibt es vor der Economy Class eine riesige Schlange, weil gleichzeitig auch ein Swiss-Flug nach Zürich abgefertigt wird. Knapp 40 kg Gepäck haben wir dabei. Deswegen lohnt es sich für uns immer Tarife mit Gepäck zu buchen. An der natoo bar im Wartebereich teilen Bruno und ich uns ein italienisches Frühstück.

At Frankfurt airport, we were allocated to an airfield position. Due to the bus transfer and the way from the bus stop to the baggage claim, our bags arrived already at the baggage claim, when we finally arrived.Recently, Uber was established in Frankfurt. We did not know any taxi driver personally. So we used also Uber.

Since we could not make it having lunch in Opatija, Croatia, we caught it up at the Dubrovnik restaurant in Weiterstadt, Germany. I had to have one Pola-Pola (half and half - minced pork and pork skewer). But they had no Ayvar (red pepper sauce).We could not make it hardly home, before it started to rain.

Royal Caribbean erklärt uns jedoch, dass das passiert, wenn eine Kreuzfahrt in Euro gebucht wird. Dann reicht das Kreuzchen nicht, sondern man muss nochmals explizit an der Rezeption darum bitten, dass das Kreuzchen auch im System richtig gesetzt wird. Auf jeden Fall: das ist nicht unsere letzte Azamara-Reise.
We needed to contact Royal Caribbean for an invoice copy by e-mail. But because only a T-shirt and the photos were on the bill, we waived a correction of the bill. However, Royal Caribbean told us that this would happen when a cruise was booked in Euro. Then the little cross would not suffice, and you had to ask again explicitly at the reception that the little cross should also be set correctly in the system.
